How fast should crestie grow?

eveliina Jan 08, 2004 10:52 AM

I have two babies (age is 4-5 months) They are about 12 cm long (with tail) and weigh 6g and 8g. I feed them every other day atleast (babyfood, crickets, mealworms, waxworms). They have shed about once a month.
Is this okay? I was wondering because leopardgeckos grow much faster and I wouln't want anything to go wrong.

Thanks,
Eveliina

This is Abba, the other baby:

And this is Ahti, the second baby:

That is a perfectly normal growth rate. You said that you feed your cresteds waxworms, don't give them as food very often, as they are EXTREMELY high in fat.
