Hi my wife and I are thinking of moving to Vegas.
How is it as far as raising kids (not sure if you have kids)?
If you own hots what are the laws pertaining to owning them and what legal?
What are the high and low temps on average?
Were going to take a couple of days and visit before she puts in for transfer but i thought i would get feedback from someone who lives there..
Thanx for any info you can provide..

I LOVE VEGAS! I was born and raised here and I think I turned out fine (maybe a little stubborn sometimes). I only have 1 kid and it's a 15 month old boy, but I'm not worried about him being raised in a bad environment. Just gotta stay to certain areas of the city (pretty obvious to see what types of areas), I'm in the Northwest part of town and pretty much always have been. I don't know anything about owning hots at all here. I don't keep or desire to have any. The temperatures are pretty nice here. The seasons change fast, hot to cold in about 2 weeks it seems like. The high summer temperatures are in the 110-115 range for a few months a year up to around 120 or more occasionally. Summer temps at night are in the high 80's or 90's. Winters are nice though, I work outside and today I was wearing a T-Shirt. It was about 60 today down to 35-40 at night. I have always liked this city, I lived in Northern Utah for 2 years for college and got tired of it quick (too cold and boring for me). It's a fast paced city with plenty of jobs available and everything's open 24/7. Growing very fast (2.2 million people now) and house prices are going up fast (alot of people coming in from So Cal.). Our house has gone up in value 25% since we moved in here 10 months ago (seriously). Take a trip down here, and drive around all over the place and check it out. The Northwest and West (Summerlin) are nicer areas as well as the Southeast, Henderson/Green Valley areas. Good luck and let me know what happens!

My mom thought about moving there so she went a few weeks ago and put a deposit on some homes there building. If she doesn't go my wife and i are going to take it so price will be locked in. They won't be built for a 1-2 years.
My uncle was a foreman on the MGM when it was being built so i guess i have to look him up and get the grand tour lol.
Thanx for the info , man 115F it only gets about 89F in Salinas on a good day..

Who did your uncle work for at the MGM? I'm a foreman at one of the larger commercial concrete companies in Vegas I may know him or people he knows (at his company). We didn't do MGM though. The 115 isn't too bad, it's dry heat. 115 with humidity would kill you. Good thing you got a price locked in, they're going up QUICK! Talk to ya later.
