Pete had the most passion for reptiles than any person ive ever met, and he really enjoyed the this forum, and the people that he has met here. Pete not only was a guy with a unreal boa collection he was a great father, great friend, and a very spiritual person. He was a high school teacher who devoted his life to helping mentally challenged kids, and he had been very busy the last month with the special olympics. This is very hard for me right now, and i just wanted to let everyone here know about our great buddy Pete. Pete, youll never know how much you meant to me man, and you'll be in my heart forever brother, your best bud, Bill

I never met Peter Watson in person, but we have emailed back and forth may times in the last year. Peter was always as nice and helpful as possible. I am sort of in shock at the moment and not really sure what to say except God Bless his family and friends as well as the children he helped on a daily basis.

This board, as heated as it can be at times, apparantly means more to me then I thought. I find myself fighting back tears and trying to put what Peter Watson meant to me in words. I will miss Peters wisdom and kindness greatly. I so wish I had the chance to meet him in person.

Please.. for the sake of all of us.. no fighting today. Lets sit back and remember a friend as he would want to be remembered.

Maybe a letter or call to your loved ones to let them know just how you feel would be in order, and remember Peter Watson as you do so.

Peter.. thanks for being my friend.

I am truely saddened to read this news. My thoughts go out to his friends and family. People's comments show what a great guy he was and how he touched many different people. I know for many people who knew him well the world will never be the same folowing the loss of such a vital presence in their lives. For people who knew him well please consider sending a card to his family describing some shared experiences or memories as this kind of extra information is very helpfull. Words cannot express how sorry I feel for you, other close friends and family.

My heart goes out to you Bill as well and the many who called Peter a friend. I can’t begin to imagine the hurt and the emptiness that follows a loss such as this. My sincere condolences.

I heard about this last night and part of me didn't want to believe it until I heard from someone close to him. He just emailed me a few days ago to find out what the latest was with breeding. I never had a chance to meet him in person but we had corresponded via email for about the last three years. He was really someone that we could all admire, a real special person. His family are in my thoughts and prayers, I am so sorry.

Pete spent his entire life bettering the lives of those he was in contact with. Photos of his classroom speak volumes about his dedication to his work and the love for the children he was lucky enough to touch. His work with the special olympics tells you everything you need to know about his character. He was also a loving father and the best friend you could ever ask for. I will miss you Pedro Peaks, you have touched me like no other. I wish there were more people like you in this cold world. You will live on in my heart Pedro, I will never forget you.

Your brother

Pete was a great guy in the limited communication I had with
him, he was so passionate about his teaching and his snakes..
this is so sad.

Pete was a great guy--plain and simple--if there has ever been one customer that i have actually learned a great deal from it was pete. Not just inane facts that go in one ear and out the other, but helpful aids to medication and treatment in true redtail boas which is one of our specialties. Not regurgitated information from other people, but actually info that he learned hands on from trial and error. Useful life saving information More than just losing a good customer and friend--we have lost a pioneer in the boa world that gave freely all his information to anyone who needed it. It is a sad sad day for the boa world. People like him are few and far between. He was always cordial and friendly to my wife, my staff, and myself. Peter Watson is a name that shall not be forgotten anytime soon, especially around our place.

"...Live your life so that when you die, the world cries and you rejoice."

Peter Watson is someone who lived that statement to a T, every day...I don't think I've ever met anyone who loved life as much as Pete, and could take the bad with a smile on his face as well as the good.

Gone but NEVER forgotten...RIP Bro Pete.

I had the pleasure of speaking to Peter Watson a couple of times,he struck me as a very kind, considerate person, his choice of profession I think shows what a great heart he had.
It also hits me,being as he and I were close to the same age how fragile life is and how quick it can all be over.
That is why each of us should make sure that our friends and family members are told on a regular basis that they are loved and appreciated .
Do not stay mad or hold grudges you may never see the person again to make things right.
Enjoy each day, yesterday is gone and nothing can change it,tomorrow is not promised to any of us make today count!

Pray for Peter's family and say a prayer of thanks for your families.
David

Sincere condolences to the family. Being a teacher myself I could feel the love he had for sharing his knowledge of snakes with us and his students. May he rest in peace and God Bless his family...Richard

I am SHOCKED and deeply saddened by the recent death of peter Watson, boa afocianado and father. I was blessed by meeting Peter about 6 years ago, and have had many conversations with him ab0out everything from God to snakes and women and our love for our kids. He was a truly GREAT man, who overcame much adversity and had refined and excellent tastes in snakes and in what he GAVE to this world. What he BROUGHT to this world, the legacy he LEAVES in this world. Both Petere and I were competeing amatuer bodybuilders in the lates 1980's, and with our driven personalites, we both tried as hard as we could to win. I respected him, loved him, and was proud to call him a friend. We DID NOT always see eye to eye, but we both respected each other. As single dads we both fought to overcome the compleixites of our plights, and raise our kids as best we knew how.
I am so shocked, so hurt, so saddened.
And I realize that life is short, to all who I have
insulted or demeaned here, please take this as my apology
I have to go, it hurts to much.
