Sometimes during a shed, a small piece of skin gets into the eye. The cham puffs out his eye covering (turret) to help dislodge the object... but it is not always successful.

To help the cham rinse his eyes... place a large plant in the shower. Using a fine, gentle spray - human body temperature water - aim the spray at the side of the shower so that is bounces off the wall and down onto the plant. The water should be raining down on part of the plant - not all of it.

Place the cham on the plant.... near the pot, so that he can climb up into the spray. We place small towels around the shower floor as padding in case the cham should fall. Leave the cham in there for 15-30 minutes. Make sure the water stays warm..!!!!!!

After turning off the water, leave the cham there to adjust his body temperature for a couple of minutes - then place back in his cage.

You can do this daily for a few days until the cham manages to dislodge the irritant in his eye.

Hope this helps,
