I'm wondering if anyone uses any of the mite treatment products on a regular basis (when doing routine cleanings, etc) or as part of quarantine, etc? If so, in what way do you use it/how often, etc?

I really have never had a serious Mite problem, but every year I have added a CH animal I have used this product. A local friend of mine uses it on his animals every few months. I found this product about 1 1/2 years ago and have had no bad expirences with it.. Also neither has my friend that uses it like water..

I use Provent-a-mite on every animal that comes into this house. I don't care where they come from, they get provent-a-mite, along with quarentine.

I use Black Knight any time there is a new addition, CH, CB, doesn't matter, they still receive the treatment and quarantine. I also do spray it about once a month in each cage, just to be safe. So to answer your question, I do use it more often then if I just see a mite all of the sudden. Works like a charm.

Yes, our wildlife center regularly uses pro product provent a mite not only to treat any new incoming animals but also on a regular basis (which means perhaps twice a year or as needed) to treat around cages and such. Unless we see mites we will usually hold off on an all out assault on our collection (we have been pretty much mite free for the past five years which is when we began using this product). Good question.
