Anyone want to breed with me ?

jonah Jan 08, 2004 01:53 PM

I have an amel female that will be ready to breed this spring and I thought maybe if I found someone who lives close by me with an anery male I could get snows and split the clutch with that person. I just wasn't sure if you got snows the first time around or if that mix would only give het snows. I also might do it if someone has an amel male.

Thanks in advance,
Jonah

P.S. I'm in South Florida if anyone is interested.

Snows will only hatch out if your amel is het for anery AND someone has an anery het for amel. Otherwise, an amel X anery will produce all normal babies het for snow, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. (I am biased since I love normals/okeetees the best)!

One more thing, BE CAREFUL when borrowing someone elses corn for breeding. I would highly suggest having both animals checked by a vet prior to putting them together. This way if one of them dies for whatever reason, no one can play the blame game or feel guilty or whatever.

Always use caution since someone elses cornsnake could be a carrier of diseases/viruses/parasites without showing any symptoms or signs.
