XtremeReptiles Responsible?? Pay Shipping?

Johnstud56 Jan 08, 2004 08:43 PM

I recently bought 2 geckos from them, 1 one week and then the other the next, the first is great! The 2nd has a bad eye and is skinny. He said send it back, if I sent it back they should pay shipping right? Im not gonna pay $30 to ship it here and then $30 back! I hope they understand where I am coming from! I dont want a gecko with a bad eye that looks horrible... Just getting out my frustrations!

Have you discussed this with Xtreme Reptiles? Surely, they have a return and/or shipping policy... check their website, and contact them. It would not be an unreasonable thing for you to request that they pay the return costs if the gecko has a defect that was not disclosed in the original purchase. As far as returning the gecko, I would wait several days before sending it back... the stress of shipping two times in such a short period of time may just be too much for the poor little thing.

There is no reason for them to charge you shipping.. they should send you a 'return shipping label', prepaid, so you can ship the leo back to them..

I don't think that you should have to send it back at all! For the sake of the animal, it's better that it doesn't get shipped back. I agree with Marcia, that shipping stress may do it in. I feel that they should just send a replacement to you and tell you to keep the thin one. Did you send them a picture? Maybe they don't realize how bad of shape this girl is in.
