If it is a Ringneck it would most likely be a Regal (because of the green color). They are the largest ringneck (reaching 30"
and will eat lizards. The other Ringnecks are mostly much smaller and eat an assortment of foods but mainly earthworms. And yes, they do make facinating pets (to observe but not handle), but not for the beginner.
