feeding question

hi i have a nearly 4 foot boa and am just wanting to make sure i am feeding it correctly i am currently giving her 1 medium rat every 7 days but a woman in a shop told me i am doing this wrong and should be giving her 2 medium rats every 3 weeks when i am giving her 2 i give it to her every week for 3 weeks and give her 1 week off is this ok or can you give me your advice she is a common boa

I feed mine every 4 days for faster growth. Feeding is a way of growth so if you want to slow his growth down feed him less.
