Im thinking about going for the bateater hybrid, and i was just wondering if anyone has had luck with it? and any advice?

also I have a tiger retic and i wanted to know if i got an albino burm or patternless etc. if it will change the outcome of the offspring (stupid question, i know)

any input would be apreciated

I do not think it would change things. If you got a green and bred it to the tiger, the babies would be het for green. If the genes are able to be passed. It is a big risk involved in breeding the 2. Infertile clutches and such. Good luck.

You may want to check out this thread. Very good information about bateaters and the possibilities with their genes.

Since my Retic is a tiger, does that make it higher risk? Would it be worth raising a burm for years to mate with my male? or is the tiger morph just something that is going to effect retics?

I have seen pics of bateatters bred from normal burm to a normal retic. Also pics of tiger to a normal burm. They both looked the same. Why not get an adult normal burm and try it. It may take a couple of seasons but if you get some it is worth it. I am trying to adopt a normal burm just for this purpose. It helps save a burm and i have a chance to produce bateatters. If this happens the guy i am getting the burm from will get a bateatter.
