Incubator question and ***PIC***!!!

odatria Jan 09, 2004 08:12 PM

Heres a pictiure of my new incubator. I have just wired up my dual Ranco thermostats (thanks to DS Reptiles) and was wondering if there are others in this forum who have used a dual Ranco for an incubator? What do you set the controls at? I mean, I know what temp I want, but what about Diff? For those of you using Rancos you know what I mean. Thanks in advance.

P.S. I have also recently added a rubbermaid shoebox with water to the bottom for humidity.

Michael.

If you want the temp at 90 set the dif. at 89. Or 1 degree below what you want the temp to stay at.

The diff on Ranco thermostats is between 1 and 30. If you set it at 89 you cant set the diif at 88, you have to set it at between 1-30. I am assuming that it means that if it is set at 1 it will keep the temp within 1 of whatever you set the temp at. Can anyone verify that?

Thanks!
