Some new pictures

I am warming up my male Russian rat. He stopped eating August 2003 and went in hibernation end of October. I kept him at 50F (11 C) untill two days ago. I am slowly bringing him back to 70F.

Can you believe the size on him after not feeding for almost 6 months?

Picture of last spring. No weight lost huh?

In 2000 my female Russian died while egg laying. I started over with a new female. She is obviously a lot smaller than the male. I hope that will not be a problem. I will introduce her in about 10 days.

She is quite stunning too.

>>Nice snake Marcel.
I always enjoy your pictures!
Don't Russians tend to go off eating sometimes, similar to balls?
Thought I read this somewhere.

Yep, they do. They have very short seasons. That is because they come form land climates. Short warm summers but cold winters.

Great pics Marcel, I hope the new female does well for you.

I am getting my male out from under the stairs this weekend, I have been keeping him between 50-60 degrees but I have no female to breed him with Checked on hime yesterday though and he seems to have lost little or no weight either.
