Not eating....6 days straight and no food

Aklaim Jan 10, 2004 05:24 AM

Ok, so I have searched and read through other posts, and I do understand that geckos slow down their eating during the winter, and can go 3-4 days without eating, but mine has now gove 6 straight days with out eating. She just licks the worms, and walks awau, has even layed on a couple. So I dont know what to do, she acts normal, comes out to play, basks in the heat lamp and everything, but with the exception of pooping, but if shes not eating, she has nothing to poop right? So I dont know what to do. If anybody has some insight on this I would really appriciate it.

She may be starting to develop egg folicles. How old is she, and how much does she weigh? Almost all of my females refuse to eat when they are ovulating. Look at her stomach and see if you can see if it looks like she is starting to develop eggs. If she hasn't been with a male she will either reabsorb the unfertilized eggs, or she may lay infertile eggs, or "slugs".
