I enjoy mine as pets first and foremost. In order to get the most enjoyment out of them, I constantly strive to give them what I believe is best for them, like big custom caging, proper temps, substrate, basking, hiding, food opportunities, socialization with me and their own kind, etc. etc. This may or may not lead to reproduction one day, but my hope is that it will. If it does not, then I will continue to enjoy them for what they are and continue to strive to provide the very best I can and learn from them as well. That goes for my pair of Waters as well as my tegu and boas. Billy
>>All my pets are a joy to have!
>>I could not care less whether my pair breed or not. I just want to live with me and be my loves forever. I like experimenting with their food, their housing, and taking pictures of them. Bathing them, trimming nails, peeling sheds (oooo, I'm a picker...love to pick scales off..) and having them punish me when I get too bothersome, hahahaha.
>>Its not my fault they keep laying eggs, I think they do it so I will have other monitors to pester. hee hee. I do wish she would slow down on the egg production, but my efforts to foil her only risked her health. So I'm just going along for the ride.
>>And it is fun.
