Spiny Lizard Wants Freedom?

tanias16 Jun 05, 2003 09:16 AM

This spiny lizard I've been posting about is driving me crazy. He use to have fun in his cage, but it seems like lately he's just always trying to get out. I dont know what to do. Any suggestions?

Bigger cage? Mine do the glass dance every once in a while and I'd rather see them active, doing that, then be lethargic. I'd try to give him more room, more hides, more toys to climb, if that's a possibility.

I appreciate the reply, but I just felt that Yoshi was too unhappy in his surrondings... there was just that glimpse of wild lizard in him I didnt think I'd ever be able to satisfy. So a couple of days ago I set him freedom, and he (too anxiously I might add) took off up a tree. Despite how much I miss him, I imagine he's happier back in the wild.

Well your a good person for doing that and I agree that he's better off. You nursed him to health and hopefully he's grateful. I don't agree with keeping wild caught, though I know they all start out that way somewhere down the line. It's easy to get attached, but if I were in your shoes, I'd do the same.
