what to expect from Luna?

lele Jan 10, 2004 12:30 PM

I have shown Luna her laying bin and she scrambled right out of it each time (once today and once about 2 weeks ago). I showed her again just to remind her

She has been hanging upside down a lot lately and her belly is lopsided (I think it is just how she is positioned). Can anyone give me an idea of how long the "interal" gestation is? This all began around the first of December. Any tips appreciated!

thanks,
lele and lopsided Luna

I've never had an un-bred gravid chameleon but I'd expect it would be about the same time frame and all. 20-30 days after breeding to lay, but you dont know when she started developing eggs do you? in december she could have just been bulking up to prepair for her eggs... I'd just waite untill she stopped eating... oh waite... is she eating good again?

Oh well, I probably did not help any, maybe someone who's had a un-bred female can enlighten us

Hi Jovana (btw, I love your name!),

Well the first week in Dec. is when she stopped eating (or at least slowed down considerably and has not really started again. I went away for a week and it was after I got back that we (the forum) all began to think she might be gravid b/c of colors, disposition, etc. I would say that she began to "spread out" about 2 weeks ago, if that. She eats VERY little (one cricket every few days). Just want to make sure she is comfy and that i am providing for her :-/
