I'm guessing the heat pad is under the tank? If so, perfect. And it sounds like you read up a bit before buying. GOOD FOR YOU!! It's good to see a new owner who took the time to find out what the snake needs to start with.

Sounds good!
You should have a happy healthy corn snake.
You will have to post pics when you get a chance.
May I make one suggestion?
You might want to use something other then the astroturf for substrate. It tends to hold moisture and begins to smell pretty bad, quickly. Or at least get a second piece so you can swap them out regularily. Have a clean one ready when the other one begins to smell.
There are several diferent substrates you can use.
Aspen shavings, repti bark, paper towels, news paper and carefresh are a few of the more popular choices.
I personally prefer aspen shavings. My corns like to burrow through it, it is easy to spot clean and it isn't dusty.
Anyway you are doing a good job
good luck

How come you're 13 in this forum and 15 in the Burmese forum?
Honesty's the best policy, I always say...

Peter: It's OK, I'll handle it. I read a book about something like this.
Brian: Are you sure it was a book? Are you sure it wasn't NOTHING?
