I believe my mali (approx 7 months old) is brumating, but I want to be sure, not just assume. About 10 days ago, it stopped eating and sleeps nearly all day and night. Even when I pick it up, it just keeps its eyes closed and keeps snoozing. Once in awhile it will open its eyes and walk around for a few minutes, but very soon it lays down (anywhere, not just in its hide) and falls asleep again.
Does this sound like it is naturally going into brumation, and if so, now long does it last? How long can they go without food?

Hey,
sounds like brumation to me. of course i asked that same question a few months ago when my lizard was doing the same things. He would eat everyonce in awhile but was not as active as he had been in the past. I think it is a seasonal thing even though i kept the temp in his cage the same as before.
