draybar Jan 10, 2004 02:43 PM

I took a few pictures of my bairdis today and as usuall I got maybe three good pics out of about twenty.
Thought I would post them since we have been talking about bairdis latley. And because they are the only rat snakes I have

Great pics. What digicam are you using to get pics like that?

thanks
I use an old Sony Mavica FD71. The kind that uses a 3 1/2 floppy.
On fine (its max setting) it is only 480 x 640 so I have to take a lot of pics to get a few that look good.

and as always excellent shots!!! I love the coloring on them. The more pics I see, the more snakes I put on my "wishlist".

>>I tell you what Sparda,
You get a couple bairdis and I can just about guarantee you will be happy with them. Great temperament and it is like Christmas every time they shed. They get more color with every shed.
I have said it so many times, on this forum, that I bet everyone is getting tired of reading it but....I am very glad I got them!
I can't wait to start raising my own.
Maybe I can send a couple your way next year...LOL

I've been trying to resist the baird's I've been seeing at the All Ohio Show on a fairly regular basis. Yeah, ...I think they're on MY wishlist, too. Xmas with every shed, eh? You may have just pushed me over the edge. Thanks...I think! Duffy

Beautiful snakes, by the way!

You may have to cross over Duffy. LOL. People don't realize how neat it is to get a baby snake and see it go through such a unique transition. Bairds are the only North American snake that has crossbars and stripes during their life. It is quite a transition to go through and can take up to 3 years, but most happens in two. It's awesome to see the colors that show up.

Great photos! You can see the orange background between the scales and faint stripes that these snakes are known for. Are these snakes of Mexican origin? I ask this because of the coloring?

Thanks
I purchased these from Renegade Reptiles as Texas Bairdis.
