I saw someone post this ? inside another thread and no one answered and I was curious myself. Do the bright green baby pacs keep there coloration or do they turn brown as they grow. I've seen someone on here with a pic of a grown pac with somewhat of a firebelly coloration, i think it was genavive but im not sure. What kind of pac is that? I was just curious because I wanted to get diff. variations and I already have a brown and a albino and I was interested in getting a green one. thanks for any feedback.

I want to know the answer to this too. I heard two conflicting answer to this. Some says it stays, some says it doesn't, that's why people like the albinos better because they retain their color.
Just my opinion, I think brown frogs are just nasty.

Yes, My frog Azure has his bright green coloration, and he has to be about three years old or more. He's about three inches snout to vent. So if you get a true Ornate, not a Cranwell, I am sure the colors will not fade. Ornates are much harder to come by than Cranwells, in the pet trade; I found Azure in a local hole-in-the-wall pet shop for $20! Most frogs sold as "pcaman" frogs are C. Cranwelli; all the albinos available are also. But C. Ornata are the more brightly colored of the two. If compared side by side, the cranwells tend to have pointier noses and a more brownish cast to them, while ornates have a rounder nose and a more round appearnace.

I am positive they are both cranwelli. Ornates don't even have an albino gene floating around, and it can not be a hyrbid ornata x cranwelli because the hybrids are sterile and can not reproduce, and thus there can not be an albino. If they locate the albino gene in ornatas, then maybe there will be albino someday. And that brown is classic for a typical colored cranwelli.

Oh i belive you! Im just mad the petstore lied to me. Not that it makes a difference, just the fact they lied. Or didnt know any better.
