The Louisiana State Senate is poised to vote for HB1468 which will ban the owning of any non-native reptile in Louisiana without a permit from the LA Dept od Wildlife & Fisheries. These are the same people that instigated the limit of 4 box turtles and threatened to take a ball peem hammer to any excess that was confiscated. The web address is www.legis.state.la.us. Go to Search area and put in 1468 next to HB. The Reptile portion was added to the ban on monkeys.
