I used to give the stubborn feeders live, tiny hopper/weanlings. The ones that are kind of stunted and run around and jump a lot, but are smaller than the others of the same age. I always raised mice and so could usually find a few like that. The activity seemed to really attract the baby ATBs, but even the newborns were big enough (surprisingly) to eat the smallest weanlings. They soon graduated to f/t, although you have to monitor carefully when they are still eating live.

If the lizard scenting doesn't work, give it a try.

thanks kathy for the advice i tried a live pinky wouldnt take it.then i scented it with lizard and it still wouldnt take.i have bronze winged parrots,i took a feather out of the cage and scented the pinky.i didnt even get the tweezers in the cage and she was wraped around that pinky took some cool pic but cant figure out how to post them.ive been linguring around your web site for a few weeks now i used to breed burms and retics but i had kids and had to get rid of everything.just coulnt sleep at night knowing that if one got out it was capable of killing the kid.been out for about 4 years now and just now starting to build up my collection again kids are still small so im thinking about getting into colubrids looking for some high end corns 01-02s somekind of breeding project if you have anything in stock give me a shout
thanks

I remember starting baby chondros with chick scenting, but don't think we ever used it for the ATBs.
