my mom has proven inflexable even after i told her i would get ones that couldnt climb so said no, no roaches and no snakes is what she said. i'll have to put up with crickets till i move out

when I was using crickets I had escapees all over the place, even in the lights in the suspended ceiling in our family room. I have had roaches for almost a year now and have never yet had an escapee! Besides, crickets stink and roaches are virtually odor free.

I don't know if I would have seen it this way if I were the mom and my kids had made such a request, but now that my kids are grown, it's more likely that they would be asking me "why roaches!” LOL!”

i had a hard enough time convincing her to let me order crickets online she finally ket me when my babie bearded dragon was on its way now i get 1000 at a time and i work so hard to keep them from escaping if i know im not going to be able to catch one, like if its headed toward something to hide under where i'll never see it again i smack it, the farthest one ever escaped and got to was the mudroom right outside the basement i literaly pounced on it my mom saw me and was like "whater you doing what did you catch?" i told her it was an outside cricket and threw it out the door
and when the basment flooded well not really flooded but a small stream formed for a short time once it dried up their were alot of dead crickets in the corners where the water pushed dirt and stuff into piles
