Hey I was wondering what type of garter snake would be best for a first time snake owner. And i'd also like to ask this, We live in the suburb with alot of bushes and shrubs and last year when i was mowing the lawn i saw an eastern garter snake (at least it looked like one it was black with green stripes down the side) I want to look for it again should I make alot of noise or very quitly try to flip rocks over and look at the shrubs?
