Thats because I told him so, he didnt even know that, he thought it was all good and they supposed to look like that.
He even told me he wants to breed them and sell them, and make alot of money since alot of people in his area will buy them ... which I have a feeling end up in shelters with MBD
BTW I even told him housing 2 iguanas in the same cage is BAD NEWS and its a fact, but he choses to ignore this, I tried to help, ohh well .. I just feel bad for the poor iguanas
got to this site and look the part about "Signs of Stress". The links in that article should be able to help you out ..
http://www.anapsid.org/iguana/skincolor.html
From M.K the iguana goddess herself;
"Overall dark gray, dark brown, black, and yellow are not normal iguana colors. While there are exceptions to this rule (see Brown and Gray Headed above), the exceptions are rare. Generally speaking, when an iguana is stressed, the color change begins on the head, upper body, tail, legs, spreading around the torso to the belly. The belly may remain green or yellow for some time after the rest of the body has grayed or browned out."
Just what I told you.
To make an iguana happy they need
1) A large cage to themselfs.
2)a good diet
3)things to climb on
4)Proper lighting and temps
And last but not least
5)an owner who cares(im not saying you dont but i figured i would put that down)
you have posted so many times and you dont listen to what people say that is something i dont understand. seperate your iggs and stop putting him through this stress. also how big of a cage are you keeping the two of them in? and how big are they right now. and if you could post a pic of the other one as well.
