Breeding Idea

Geckodude54 Jan 11, 2004 11:33 AM

I might get a female gecko today, the fattest one I can find. Would it be alright to house that with my slightly slim male in a 20 gallon tank forever? What are the dos and don'ts of that. If I cannot house them together all the time, when do I put them together? I don't know alot about breeding, so bare with me.

Bare with me on this one.....

QUARENTINE!!!!!

You wouldn't put them together for AT LEAST 3 months. That's with 2-3 clean fecals. You wouldn't want to just buy them and throw them together. That's how geckos DIE. I'd rather see one of my new aquisitions die, than most of my "colony". Although, 12 isn't much of a colony.

What's the moral of this story?
