I have recently noticed that my normally very active two year old RES has been sleeping in a corner on the bottom of the tank by the filter, even during the day (not all the time...sometime he wakes up and swims around, and he has been eating too). This is something I have never seen him do before, and seems strange because he keeps going back to the exact same spot and is in the exact same position. The only thing I can think of is that he may be trying to hibernate, but he has never done this before, not even in the winter.
I would like to know if this is what he's doing, and if so, do I need to do anything differently?
Thanks!
Lindsey
