Lighting?

Right now I have an exo-terra 75 watt light bulb inside of one of those reflective dome things, ne way my question is I've been reading this forum alot and have read that corn snakes don't need special basking lights but regular bulbs can be utilized. Knowing this, I start to wonder would I be depriving my snake of anything if I switched over, and other then that what is the ideal wattage that i should look for in basking bulbs (and what type) and what wattage in regular bulbs. Thanks for the replies in advance.

The bulb you are using is fine. When it burns out just replace it with a normal 75 watt bulb.
Lots cheaper.

the wattage buld you use depends on how big your cage is. I use just a regular bulb that you find at lowes or ace hardware. They dont really need any special lighting.
