How old do ball pythons have to be too breed?

A good start for male ball pythons is anywhere from 500 grams and up. Every snake is different, and it all depends if he is sexually mature at this size or not. Females are a different story. I think a good "starting" or "virgin" size is 1500 grams for a four-footer. Anything longer than that, I would say 1700 grams and UP. Bigger is ALWAYS better.

It isn't something to just jump into, do lots of LOTS of research.

I would never breed a 1500 gram 4' female. Do you guess in your replies, or do you really have some experiance?
