New Bearded Dragon

gsir8 Jan 11, 2004 06:40 PM

Today I got a new bearded dragon at the White Plains Reptile show. It is my first beardie, and I also purchased him a 50 gallon tall tank. Right not he is only about 2 months old, and I know this tank is fine, but I was wondering if I can keep him in it all his life.

an adult should have at least 6 sq ft of floor space. as for now, my personal choice would be for a smaller tank. It makes it easier for them to find crix and hunt. You may want to divide the tank and section off part of it for feeding. that would be fine.

And yes I know some of you keep your babies in big enclosures without a problem. This is just mt opinion!

Congrats! I came home from White Plains with two new Beardies myself. That brings my total up to ten... and counting! There were some pretty nice ones there. Who did you get yours from?
