I'm considering getting a humidifier to try in one of the anole tanks. I just can't keep the humidity up with misting. Has anyone used a product like the one shown by the link below? How did it work out? How was your tank set up? Did you close off the top completely?

I would think that an airstone in their water container, hooked to an air pump, would be cheaper.

Don't get it. First of all, it says "This unit is not effective in enclosures larger than 55 gallon or cages with open screened ventilation" which I'm sure of, you cut no corners and have a screen on the top, so automatically, this becomes useless. Also, don't waste your money on this, buy an Exo Terra WaterFall with an add-on mister, I use this myself and I am satisfied with the results.

Thanks for the input. Just so I can compare with my home climate, what sort of humidity do you have in your home normally, and what is it in your anole tank? My tanks hover around 50%, which is up from the regular house readings, but not high enough. What size of tank do you have? I've not seen the add-on mister (granted, I wasn't looking for one, either). Did you get it online or from a store?

The humidity in my house is something. .. .The humidity in my anole tank is usually around 50 percent without the mister running. My anole tank is 29 gallons and I have the large Exo Terra Waterfall(Link below)with the mister add-on. I decided to cut no corners and bought my anole his waterfall for 87.10 all together (including tax). It includes the waterfall($30),mister($36) ,pump($12) The humidity with the mister on is 75 to 79 percent. My anole seems to always be green when the humidity is higher up, so its all a good deal for me. Hope it helps. Anymore questions?

I got these items from petsmart. I reccommend them for supplies, though I frown on their ability to keep their reptiles.

Thanks for all the help! Do you happen to have a link to the mister add-on? I don't seem to be able to find it - or at least not recognize it for what it is.

Thanks - is this what you use? How large is your enclosure, and how much does it raise the humidity? I have two enclosures of approximately the same size (29g) and need to boost the humidity about 20% (give or take). Anyone else use this airstone method?

How about foggers? Anyone use one? The foggers sound interesting except that the mist is supposed to be "cool". Not sure about that. Who uses the airstone idea (or a bubble bowl)?
