For David Williams.....

I just (finally) saw your National Geographic show on your work in PNG. I thoroughly enjoyed the show. The show wasn't sensational (in my opinion) and they even managed to keep the facts in the broadcast without replacing them with a bunch of unrelated mumbo-jumbo. I thought the green Tree Python and Scrub python footage was good too... those scrubbies have some nasty teeth, eh Mate It was good to see that the only snake that managed to get teeth in your hide was of a non-venomous variety... I'd hate to get tagged by one of those PNG Taipans...

The footage was well shot, again, in my opinion, and the local people were decently represented as they should have been. I am a bit jealous that I am not over there beating the bush with you, as I'd love to have had the opportunity to field collect with a real purpose.

Please let me (us) know when you'll be given another TV spot, as I will certainly look forward to watching again. My eldest son taped the broadcast for me, so I get to watch it all I want....

Thanks for letting me know about the show.

Keep those snakes a little farther from your legs next time, okay?

G'day Tom!

Thanks for that great review - I can't wait to see it for myself now ... we shot heaps of footage up there and it sounds like the NGEO people did a beautiful job bringing the story to life.

I've been away with some great people filming another show over the last week or so - you should see it over there later in the year sometime - from the bits I've seen played back each night the vision is superb - especially the natural history stuff we shot with the various critters...

Cheers mate - It'd be a pleasure to see you over here one of these days.

David

PS: The taipans weren't that close were they?

I don't get the NatGeo channel so I have to miss out on all the Barefooted Bushman episodes and now this. Oh well...maybe they'll add it one of these days.
