i need to make more room and was going to put them in a bedroom but things changed(wife said "i dont think do"so i thought about stacking them in were they are. my question is wouuld 4-6" from the ground be to low for the chameleons? the 4-6" would be from the ground to them bottom of the cage. the cage is 36" tall. this is only temporary, until the spring. then they will go outside, but thats anothr project lol.

I have some of my cages stacked, not THAT low, but they're probably about 18" off the ground, then 3 feet tall, with another similar row of cages on top of that. I haven't had any obvious problems with it. I think with plenty of places to hide, it will keep them feeling secure either way. I'm in the process of building all new aluminum frame/screen adult panther cages (give me another year) and they will be stacked in a similar way (by the way, don't attempt to build your own aluminum screen/framed cages, it's NOT WORTH IT). I'm already in it far enough that I gotta finish that way. I'll probably save about $5 each cage over just buying them, and that's if I'm volunteering the labor.
