My wife and I are going on vacation. We love reptiles and want to go somewhere we can purchase/import home for our collection.

What countries can you still export from ?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you

Most countries still allow export of animals/Reptiles but it is not as simple as just going there and purchasing and send them home. There is alot paperwork to do both on the exporting country side and here in the US to import them. You will have to be licensed to export from the originating country as well as to import into the US. You will have to pay freight to the Airlines and most the time will have to be known with them to even be able to export. It is a great idea to be able to go to other countries and pick up animals and send them home but it is not feasible unless you talking a large number of animals.

Quite correct, and let me add a few additional considerations:

You will also need to be concerned about the import restriction for your home state and the state restriction at the port of entry into the US.

You will also need to be concerned about USDA animal shipping protocols.

And of course, do not forget about CITES.

In the long run, your always better off with captive bred animals anyway, and we all know it is MUCH better for the protection of wild animal populations to purchuse only captive bred animals anyway!
