I am wondering if white's tree frogs can see red lighting. My white's has been fine and when I moved him to a 29 gallon aquarium and used a 60 watt red light to heat the tank. Well, for the time period that he has been in the new tank (about one day) he has stayed a dull brown in color, which I have come to see shows he is not happy. Does he see the red light and does that bother him? Or is it the switch from tank to tank that has caused his sudden unhappiness?

its really not known whether the frogs see the red light or not. some people think that their frog is not active at night because they are disturbed by the red light, and some people think they are not active because their is not much change in the temp difference from night and day, due to the red light being on.
you really have to test it out yourself. just remember, different frogs have different personalities.

I have a red light on my whites, and they don't seem to mind it.. my more "active" male really seems to enjoy it. He sits under it during the day, and is very VERY active at night. I have seen an increase in activity since I switched to the red light, about 4 months ago!
