Due to some of the rules here at KS.com, I can't post a link to the the discussion, but Pierson just posted a series of pics from his trip to the Yucatan at that "other" field herping message board.

They found a small (3 foot) cribo up a tree in Campeche that is very orange, like the red one shown in Julian Lee's Yucatan book. Beautiful snake!

WOW ! Thats one the most spectacular Dry's Ive ever seen . I wish they all looked like that.Pierson takes some great pics I have a bunch on my website from him.

that is one amazing snake! i don't know the herp laws in Mexico, but that certainly would've been a keeper if legal!

Yep..unfortunately, Mexico does not allow any exportation of wildlife. They shut it down several years ago. The problem was that they did not have the manpower or funds to comply with the CITES export rules which says that they have to monitor how many of each species is exported, set limits and enforce them, etc. The only other choice is to shut down exports completely.
