eternal Jan 12, 2004 09:59 AM

i have a 7 mon female that is about 36 grams . She loves to climb and jump on my hand and is extremely active. the only prob is that she goes and licks the meal worm s or bites them and then spits it out . Her main interest is running around climbing and playing . i dont think she has lost any weight. she drinks water fine, temps are 88-90/ warm side and 75/ cool . any ideas ? this has been going on for about 2 weeks.
thanks

This doesn’t sound like a big problem, your gecko is most likely just picky. Try feeding her freshly molted (all white) mealies if possible, most of my picky eaters will take these readily. Another option would be feeding her crickets. If she gets hungry enough she will eat the mealies you provide. It is not uncommon for leos to slow down their eating habits at this time of year. Keep a close eye out for weight loss, because this could be a sign of more serious problems. Best of luck, and keep us posted.
