rescued adult leo not eating

dagangsta Jan 12, 2004 10:31 AM

hey, awhile back i rescued an adulty leopard gecko, hes been doing pretty good, putting on some weight, he could nvr really catch crickets, like he would go for them but just couldn't catch them, and yea, so i've been feeding him giant mealies, two things, first off he's stopped eating, should i try super worms for him cuz they move around more, and what else could i do, he is pooping still, just very small amounts... thanks for your help

it may just be the winter season. you could try superworms or a waxworm or two but dont use waxworms as a staple...most leos get spoiled by them and wont eat anything else. Maybe if you skipped a night of trying to feed your leo it may be so famished the next night that it will eat with enthusiasm. Just keep an eye...make sure tail stays thick and pooping; big or small. If hes pooping, hes eating something. Good luck.
