Squeaking noise coming from sulcata??

Shion Jan 12, 2004 12:49 PM

Is this normal? I have noticed it just in the last day. He will pull his head in quick and have a "squeak" when he does it. I have read on the forum about Torts and noises but I dont remember anything like this being talked about.Besides the noise he is still very active and eats great.

I just wanted to know if anyone has heard of this and is this a "rush to vet" sign.

Any replys would be great.

Should I take it as nobody has ever heard of this?

More than likely, the noise you are hearing is him expelling air from his lungs in order to withdraw into his shell. Of course, it is hard to say for sure since I have not heard it, but if you only hear the noise when he pulls in, then chances are, that is what it is and it is normal.

I hope this helped a bit.
