newbie question

fisherk2 Jun 05, 2003 02:29 PM

Hello,

I am not new to herps, but I am new to bearded dragons. When someone says their dragon is 10 inches TL, what does that mean? Is it 10 inches including tail length or is it just body length?

Thanks!

Hello and Welcome!

ummm, I'm not really sure what TL means but I'd guess it meant includeing 'Tail Legnth.' --Or could it mean 'Total Legnth?'
(I measure Beardies from nose to tail)

lol sorry I'm not much help, maybe someone else will know more

I believe it means nose to tail lenth. Nose to vent is usually shown as NV or NVL...Total Lenth could also mean nose to tail but I am not hundred present sure. I always measure nose to tail tip or as close as I can get to it...he doesn't always tand still to be measured.
