There's no absolutes when it comes to feeding bp's. As I previously discussed, feeding schedules are dictated by many things: willingness to feed, purpose of the animal (pet or breeder), gender, age, etc. If your bp is taking rats, you can probably get by with 1-2 rats every 7-10 days (tops). If this snake feeds year round, you may even cut back to every 10-14 days. Observe its behavior and cue into some of its subdtleties. If, on the other hand, this snake has a history to fast during the winter (and it may be too young to tell at this time), then you may have to increase feeding frequency during the spring/summer months.

I have a bp that is well over 35 years of age....believe me, it isn't rocket science and in today's day and age of advanced husbandry information and "I just bred a piefacespiderarachnosuperpastelorrific ball python" mentality, I think that sometimes many folks make things too difficult and forget to just spend time with their animals and get to know THAT animal. hope this helps,
Rob Carmichael
