What Kind of Blood/ST is this?

Jordanm Jan 12, 2004 11:07 PM

It looks like a Borneo X Black to me, but not positive. It could be an import to, I'll post info as I get it or maybee the owner (BallCrew) will chime in.

Hey J,
Possibly a cross (looks very Sumatran red), but hard to say with no collection or breeding data on it. Let us know what you think or what the previous owner has said about it. Also, have you checked the scalation around the head and eye area? Lets see some pictures of that if you can. Other wise it is a lovely animal for sure, and would make a find addition to a breeding group. What is the sex on it?

This blood is a female....it is a recent import that I recieved along with 5 more...it is the only one with this coloration and head color...also the only one that is somewhat tame and handleable out of the 6 that came in...I really like this one as I like that head color..it has been breeding the super striped salmon colored male....
Michael
all the bloods that came in were supposedly Sumatrans...

Ok, I'm confused, who is posting the pics here and who is the rightful owner of the imports? I thought that Jordan was posting these. Ok, just curious!

Angel,
I'm posting these for my buddy Micheal..... it's his animal. Just helping him out a little. I though I said that in my first post but I guess not.

So either a dark red or a red with possibly a natrually occuring cross with a black somewhere in its history. Micheal send me a close up shot of the side of its head if you can get one and I'll post it. Then Angel can probably tell you for sure.

Sure looks like a red to me. They're pretty variable.

Just my $.02

that looks like a normal visual variation of a Red Blood. not a valuable variation like a hypo or pied or anything, just a "bit darker than most" variation

O.K.
The experts have spoken, it is a red blood that is a little darker than most that is not very expensive...true on all points , I did not pay much for the animal , but wouldnt you agree that in its own right it is a nice looking blood?

Well I agree. Nice stripe and really like the tail pattern. Should produce some interesting looking babies to say the least. Good luck with her.
