I used Eco-earth for them, my anoles and my geckos. The leaf chams spend very little time on the substrate and if you keep it only moderately damp (this will also depend if you keep your plants in pots or plant directly) it will minimize any mold problems. Frankly, I have found the eco-earth to be extremely mold resistant. I had forgotten about a bucket of it -still VERY wet - for months! When I found it, it was still damp with absolutely no growth or smell.
A not about peat moss: it is a non-renewable resource (in OUR lifetime) and the coco-fiber products are a much more ecologically- friendly choice.
