what i've read today on here has made me sick. i am now thinking that at least half of you all think that raising an iguana is cool because "ooohhh....you're the weirdo with the iguana." i don't have an iguana to get attention. i don't even have an iguana because i thought it needed rescued. i have an iguana because i love all reptiles and getting an iguana has rewarded me far more than any pet i have ever had. just seeing her change from this dark, scared creature into a beautiful green and orange sweetheart that will eat out of my hand and go out of her way not to hit me with her tail when she's slashing it around to ward off her stuffed animals means so much to me. okay, maybe i'm a weirdo but i can see the appreciation in her eyes because she is being treated like she never has before.

okay, sorry i'm wigging out....these past few posts really upset me.

peace everybody,
amy

If the original poster didn't really care about their new iguana, they wouldn't be asking for help, so try not to be too hard on them. Some of the subsequent posts just sort of clouded the original issue.
Having a really aggressive animal you're trying to take care of can be frustrating!
(After a few years of being into herps, I'm kind of sick of being the wierdo with the lizard, snake, ect. Oh to be normal again! :P)

Um, I sincerely Hope you aren't saying what I posted made you sick. If that's the case, then you don't need to be here. I asked for HELP with an aggressive Young Male iguana that has biten me twice (Drawing blood both times) and whipped me more times then I care to count. I asked for Help in fixing these problems before He gets so big He's dangerous. It was a simple plea for help. If You find someone asking for Help "Sick", then why are you on a forum where people come for Help? And When I say "I'm ready to kill Him", Do you actually think I mean it? You have never been so frustrated with someone (or something) that you said "I'm ready to kill that thing"? Can you honestly tell me that? But when You say that, Do you really mean it or is it just frustration talking? I was speaking out of Frustration. I know how Igs get. I know they can get nasty. I took this one in to help it. I took it from Petco after it was dumped. But how can I help it if He keeps attacking Me? So That's why I came here. NOT because I was actually going to kill Him.

And If You were speaking to the person who was posting those collars, I have to agree with you. Those collars are abusive and should NOT be used.

So Please clearify Who was Making You Sick. You post can be taken the wrong way if left the way it is....
