Would it be ok to.....?

bootsiecollinsus Jun 05, 2003 03:46 PM

Hi
Would it be ok to house a 3' ball python in with a 3 1/2' Borneo blood python? They are both females, in excellent health, great eaters. The enclosure is a 55g breeder, and currently belongs to the blood python, and this would not be a permanent arrangement, just a few months. I don't see much of a problem with it, but I'm a kingsnake person so I figured I'd ask the python experts =) Thanks!

Hello,
Well you've got good taste in Pythons...Bloods & Balls are two of my favorites!! This is only my opinion, but I would not house the two of them together, it's really in both of their best interest.

going by the answers other peopl have gotten to this kid of question im gonna say no. it will stress the two snakes and is unhealthy. to me housing two different kinds of snakes together isnt a good idea. but a few people do it. a good/cheap temporary cage would be to go get a big sterelite or rubbermaid tub.
