I just fed my female burm today, and I noticed that she had some sticky salavia in her mouth when she was eating. Is this a sign of RI or is it just something they do to swallow their food. She has no signs of weezing or anything. Thanks Tommy

If it i a respitory infection then usually the snake bubbles from the mouth or nose. When mine had a respitory infection it had bubbles comming out of its mouth. Most likely it isnt a respitory infect because when i feed my snakes all usually siliva comes out of their mouth and looks a little sticky. If it is a respitory infect all you really have to do is raise the temps and reduce the humidity levels. If it doesnt clear up soon then you might want to see a vet, but most likely it is a respitory infection. good luck though.
If there are no outward signs of an RI, then it's probably just a little lube
The saliva that is produced will help get a big furry meal down their esophagus--I wouldn't worry about it if there are no RI symtoms

Thanks for the advice guys. I think that I will just raise the temps a little just to be on the safe side. I guess if I were to swallow something that big I would need a little lube to get it down. lol
