How can I tell if blood is overweight?

How can I tell if my blood python is overweight? I have Boa constrictors and other pythons, but Bloods have always looked fat to me, even when they are not. My boas are stiff when I pick them up, and he's like mushy. Is this normal for a blood?

I think thats the appeal of the Bloods. They are fat, and beautifully marked. I wouldnt be worried. And yes, they are quite soft and delicate.
