Just wondered who thought that they might have the largest garter and if they have a picture of it. Just curious...one large garter owner (but not the largest) to others...
Thanks.

Here in Northern Illinois I caught a 43in female eastern. She was gravid. The only eastern I had ever seen in the area populated by plains. I had no room for her so I released her where i found her.

I have:
1.1 Kankakee Bulls
1.0 veild chameleon
1.1 corns
0.1 az king
1.2 tiger sals
0.0.4 fox snakes
0.1 3-toe box turtle
1.1 Crotaphytus collaris
1.1 Crotaphytus binctores
1.1 Korean Ratsnake
0.1 desert kings
1.1 Bearded Dragons(german giant and orange)
The biggest one I caught was here in PA was around 42inches long but I have seen some larger ones that I would guess would be a little closer to 4 foot sunning themselves on some rocks/drift wood in a moat here outside of Philly. It's actually funny because they will actually share the basking area with some painted, sliders and snapper turtles in the area. The area is Fort Mifflin if anyone has heard of it... anyway there is another place here around Philly that you can catch some large Garter snakes around Tinnicam(spelling is wronglol)... but there are some large water snakes, some copper heads and I have spotted a few corns and blackrats in that area.
