Does anyone know an internet source for published works on telemetry studies conducted on Pine snakes? My e-mail is wbird@ius.edu if you would prefer to send me one. Thanks! K.E.

Hey Will,

I don't have anything off the top of my head, but one of the indigo snake researchers from Kennedy Space Center, Mike Legaire, was relocated to NC about a year and a half ago.

One of his big projects was to be n. pine telmetry studies in NC.

I can try to track him down and see what he has...

How about:

Rudolph, D. Craig and Shirley Burgdorf. 1995. Radio-telemetry study of Louisiana pine snakes (Pituophis melanoleucus ruthveni). East Texas herpetological Society Newsletter. 7 (1):19. Pituophis melanoleucus ruthveni

Try contacting Mark Bailey at Conservation Southeast. They were involved in a study of Northern Pines in middle Tennessee.

Another possibility:

Jordan, R. A. (1998). "Species profile: Pine snake (Pituophis melanoleucus spp) on military installations in the southeastern United States," Technical Report SERDP-98-5, U.S. Army Engineer Waterways Experiment Station, Vicksburg, MS
