Looking for help from owners of ATB's. My previous post is below.
I lost (2) ATB's. Not sure why. They stopped eating, and died within two days ... so I'm looking to brain-storm with someone on this forum to see what may have happened here...

Alan,
Since no ATB folks answered you I will relate my ETB experience.
I would imagine that they are WC's, as you did not specify otherwise in your previous post. The harsh reality is that most fresh imports don't survive, I have a freezer collection to back that up. Most brokers don't treat even initially for parasites. Damage done from improper handling by the collectors and at the exporters facility, especially to the kidneys from dehydration, can never be be reversed. That is the risk of buying fresh imports. I have worked with wc emeralds for up to 18 months just to watch them die. Necropsies reveal kidney damage from dehydration, most likely from the initial collectors not providing proper care. Although this is speculation, I believe that it is accurate. Buying wc animals is a gamble with a risk of high loses.
Vet examination is your best bet, but be prepared for the worse. Paying more for well established cbb animals is generally cheaper in the long run.
Just my opinion.

Did you notice anything strange after treatment (not moving properly, etc)? How soon after the treatment did any die? Did you use any other medicines, treatments or chemicals (paint, pesticides, etc,) around them? Did you have any necropsies done? You should save them in a fridge (not freezer) if you want a necropsy done and can't get it to the vet immediately. Did you have any stool samples done? That is one of the cheapest things to try first. Any other details that would point to anything in particular?
